Pakoras are an all-time favourite snack. The moment the weather shifts, all anyone needs is a cup of chai and fritters. To try a new variant, follow this cabbage pakora recipe and serve with a chutney.
½ cup cabbage ¼ cup onion 1 green chilli 1 tablespoon coriander leaves ½ teaspoon grated ginger ½ cup besan ½ teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chilli powder ½ teaspoon cumin powder Pinch of asafoetida (hing) Salt to taste Oil for frying
Mix the chopped cabbage, onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, and ginger. Add salt and mix.
Remove any moisture released by cabbage.
Take another bowl and mix besan, haldi, red chilli powder, cumin powder, hing, and salt.
Gently mix in water to make a smooth batter. Fold in the cabbage mixture.
Deep-fry or air-fry till crunchy. Serve the pakodas with chutney.
