Badam pakoda, or almond fritters, are a crispy Indian snack that is perfect for tea time or when you want to munch something during the day. Here’s a quick recipe to make these crunchy almond snacks.
1 cup raw almonds 1/3 cup besan 1/3 cup water Salt to taste Red chilli powder to taste A pinch of turmeric powder 1/4 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp amchur powder 1/2 tsp coriander powder A pinch of baking soda Cooking oil for frying
Soak the almonds in hot water, then peel off the skins.
Make a batter by whisking besan, water, all the spices, and baking soda.
Heat some oil. Dip each almond in the batter and coat it evenly.
Deep fry the coated almonds till golden brown. Drain on paper towels and enjoy.
