Love to enjoy crispy potato fry but also want to avoid the excess oil? This healthy air fryer version of potato fry gives golden, crunchy bites, using little oil, making it a guilt-free snack or side dish that you can enjoy during busy mornings or whenever the cravings for something crispy hit.
3 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into thin strips 1 tbsp olive oil 1 tsp red chilli powder ¼ tsp turmeric powder ½ tsp garam masala ½ tsp garlic powder (optional) 1 tsp salt, or to taste ¼ tsp black pepper 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped 1 tsp lemon juice
Cut the potatoes into thin strips and soak them in cold water for about 15 to 20 minutes so that the extra starch is removed. Drain the strips and pat them dry thoroughly to get maximum crispiness.
Toss the potato strips with olive oil, chilli powder, turmeric, garam masala, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until every piece is evenly covered with spices.
In the air fryer basket, arrange the potatoes in a single layer and cook at around 200°C for about 18 to 20 minutes. Shake well halfway through for even browning.
Once they turn crispy, drizzle some lemon juice over the hot potato fry and also sprinkle some chopped coriander.
Enjoy the potato fry hot with a dip by the side, tomato ketchup or mint chutney for a delightful snack.
