Create Melt & Crunch Chocolate Gajak Right In Your Kitchen

Gajak is a popular winter snack in India, and it has many different types. The chocolate variation can be made at home with easily available ingredients and is perfect for snacking.

Ingredients

1 cup of jaggery powder 1 cup roasted peanuts 1-2 tablespoons of  water 1 tablespoon of ghee 1 tablespoon of  pumpkin seeds 2 tablespoons of  sesame seeds ¼  teaspoon of cardamom powder ½  cup of dark chocolate, chopped ½ tablespoon of coconut oil

Step 1

Melt the jaggery powder, ghee and a cup of water in a skillet over low heat until a thick, smooth syrup forms.

Step 2

Add the cardamom powder, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds and roasted peanuts. Stir thoroughly to ensure that the jaggery syrup coats everything equally.

Step 3

Lightly coat a dish or tray with ghee. Using a rolling pin or spatula, evenly flatten the jaggery-nut mixture after pouring it. Allow it to cool a little.

Step 4

Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler until glossy and smooth.

Step 5

Pour the melted chocolate over the slightly cooled gajak, spreading it evenly. Let it set. Once firm, cut into pieces and enjoy!
