Creamy Mushroom Rice is a flavourful dish made with mushrooms, rice, cream, and spices. It is filling, tasty, and ideal for a cosy meal.
1 cup basmati rice (soaked 20 minutes) 200 g mushrooms (sliced) 1 onion (chopped) 2 garlic cloves (chopped) ½ cup fresh cream 1 tbsp butter 1 tbsp oil 1 tsp black pepper 1 tsp mixed herbs or oregano 2 cups vegetable stock or water Salt to taste Fresh parsley or coriander (for garnish)
Heat butter and oil in a pan. Add onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
Add mushrooms and cook until they release moisture. Add rice, salt, pepper, and herbs. Mix well.
Pour stock or water and cook until rice is soft. Stir in cream and let it simmer for two minutes.
Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
