Dahi Chicken, also known as curd chicken, is a creamy curry made with yoghurt and spices. This flavourful dish pairs perfectly with roti, jeera rice, or naan.
2 tbsp Oil or Ghee 1 tsp Cumin Seeds 1 stick Cinnamon 2 large Onions, thinly sliced 3 slit Green Chillies 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste 1 cup Yoghurt (curd or dahi)
2 tsp Cumin Powder 1 tsp Chilli Powder 2 tsp Garam Masala Powder 1 tbsp Kasuri Methi Leaves 4 tbsp Coriander Leaves, finely chopped 500 grams Chicken (bone-in) 1 tsp Turmeric Powder Salt to taste
Whisk the yoghurt until smooth and creamy, then set it aside. Heat oil in a pan and add the chicken with salt, ginger garlic paste, and turmeric powder.
Sauté the chicken on high heat until seared on all sides, then remove and set aside.
In the same pan, heat more oil and add cumin and cinnamon, then sauté onions until golden brown.
Add green chillies and ginger garlic paste, sauté until the raw smell leaves, then add spices and salt.
Return the chicken to the pan, mix with the masala, then add the whisked yoghurt and simmer. Add kasuri methi leaves and coriander leaves, then mix well before serving.
