Buttermilk rice is a creamy, tangy rice dish that can be enjoyed as a side dish or a light meal on its own. The buttermilk adds some tanginess, while the paprika gives a spicy kick to the rice.
1 cup rice 2 cups buttermilk 2 cups water 1-2 tsp hot sauce (adjust to taste) ½ tsp paprika ½ tsp salt
Boil some rice in buttermilk and water over medium heat and stir continuously.
Add equal parts of buttermilk and water if the liquid reduces.
Cook it for 15 minutes until the rice gets soft and sticky.
Stir it in hot sauce, paprika, and salt.
Serve the Buttermilk Rice, warm!
