Need a quick to make, crunchy snack for evening munching? These air fryer crispy fried potatoes turn golden from the outside and fluffy from within, using less oil, making them perfect to munch on with evening tea time.

Ingredients

3 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed 1 tablespoon oil 1 tablespoon cornflour 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon paprika or chilli powder ½ teaspoon black pepper Salt to taste ½ teaspoon mixed herbs (optional) 1 tablespoon chopped coriander or parsley Dip or ketchup for serving

Step 1

Peel the potatoes and cut them into bite-sized cubes or wedges, whatever you like. Rinse them thoroughly to remove extra starch and to get better crispness.

Step 2

Parboil potatoes in salted water for about five minutes until they turn a bit soft, then drain and let them steam dry properly.

Step 3

Toss the warm potatoes with a little oil, cornflour, garlic powder, paprika, pepper and salt until every piece is coated evenly with the seasoning.

Step 4

Spread the potatoes in a single layer inside the air fryer basket. Leave a little space so that hot air crisps them evenly.

Step 5

Set the temperature around 200°C for 18 to 20 minutes, shaking them halfway through, until the potato pieces turn deeply golden and crunchy on the outside.

Step 6

Sprinkle seasonings and fresh coriander over hot potatoes and serve with ketchup, yoghurt dip or spicy mayo.
