Corn Appe: Sweet & Spicy Twist A South Indian Snack

Appe or appam is a South Indian snack that is soft, fluffy, and fulfilling. Made with rava, the round balls look tempting and are served with chutney. You can stuff the batter with corn and add spices to suit your taste. Try this tested recipe.

Ingredients

2 cups rava 1 cup dahi Water as needed 1 cup boiled corn Salt to taste 1 tsp chilli flakes 1 tsp ENO

Step 1

Mix rava with water and curd. Sprinkle salt and keep it aside.

Step 2

While you rest the rava mixture, boil the corn kernels.

Step 3

Mix the rava blend and corn kernels.

Step 4

Sprinkle chilli flakes and add ENO.

Step 5

Grease the pan with ghee or oil of your choice. Pour the batter into them.

Step 6

When the base is cooked, flip appe to cook the other side. Serve with chutney.
