Tangy, minty and lightly sweet, this green sharbat delivers instant roadside-style nostalgia in every icy sip. Fresh mint, coriander and lemon create a chilled drink that tastes bright, herby and unbelievably refreshing during harsh summer afternoons.
1 cup fresh mint leaves ½ cup fresh coriander leaves 2 tbsp sugar 1 tbsp lemon juice ½ tsp roasted cumin powder ¼ tsp black salt 2 cups chilled water Ice cubes as needed
Add mint leaves, coriander leaves, sugar, lemon juice, roasted cumin powder and black salt into a blender with a little water, then blend until smooth and vibrant green.
Strain the prepared mixture into a large jug to remove any rough bits and give the sharbat a smoother texture.
Pour in chilled water gradually while stirring properly so the flavours mix evenly without tasting too strong.
Add plenty of ice cubes and chill the sharbat for a few extra minutes to make it taste colder and more refreshing.
Serve immediately in tall glasses with extra mint leaves or lemon slices for a cooling summer-style finish.
