When summer mornings already feel warm and exhausting, a cold sandwich becomes the type of breakfast that feels light, refreshing and satisfying without requiring any cooking or heavy preparation near the gas.
8 bread slices ½ cup hung curd or mayonnaise 1 cucumber, thinly sliced 1 tomato, thinly sliced 1 boiled potato, sliced 1 small onion, sliced 2 cheese slices 1 tsp black pepper ½ tsp chaat masala Salt to taste Butter as needed Mint chutney as needed
In a bowl, take hung curd or mayonnaise and mix a little black pepper, salt and a little chaat masala to make a creamy and smooth mixture.
Chop the cucumber, onion and tomato into slices and keep them in the refrigerator for a short span before using.
On bread slices, apply butter lightly, then spread mint chutney to add extra freshness and a cooling herby flavour to the sandwich.
Now, on the bread slices, arrange cucumber, tomato, and onion evenly while sprinkling a little salt and chaat masala from the top for balanced flavour in every bite.
To make it more flavourful, place cheese slices over the vegetables and spread the prepared mixture, then place another bread slice.
Cut the prepared cold sandwiches into triangles and serve with ketchup or chutney.
