Classic Sohan Halwa Recipe That Everyone Will Enjoy

Sohan halwa is a circular-shaped dessert with pistachios and almonds on top. It is made with ghee. It has been around since the Mughal era. It's a simple and quick dessert that you can prepare at home for guests.

Ingredients

1 and ½ spoon milk powder 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour ½ tablespoon of cardamom powder ½ cup of sugar 2 tablespoons of ghee 3-4 chopped almonds 2-4 pistachios, crushed Cooking oil as required

Step 1

Gather cupcake moulds or paper cups for the circular shape.

Step 2

Grease the surface with cooking oil. Use a brush or your fingers to spread the oil.

Step 3

Put the almonds and pistachios into the moulds first.

Step 4

Take a bowl and add the milk powder and all-purpose flour. Mix it

Step 5

Add the cardamom powder to the mixture. Stir it. Set it aside.

Step 6

Take a pan. Heat the ghee and sugar. Stir until the sugar caramelises. Remove from the heat and let it cool.

Step 7

Pour the mixture with the ghee and sugar into one bowl. Mix. Pour it into the moulds.

Step 8

Let the mixture rest at room temperature for 5-8 hours. Take it out of the mould. Enjoy sohan halwa.
