Crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, churros are a delicious dessert option when enjoyed with a generous dusting of cinnamon sugar and molten chocolate. Spend some quality time in the kitchen to create a batch of these and relish them on a warm winter evening.
1 cup all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 tablespoon butter 1 cup hot water 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder 2-3 tablespoons caster sugar 1 pinch salt Oil, for frying
Add the flour, baking powder, salt and butter to a bowl and mix well to combine.
Pour in the hot water and mix to form a sticky dough.
Transfer to a piping bag with a wide-set nozzle while heating oil in a deep pan.
Use a scissor to snip the piped dough into the hot oil and fry for 3-4 minutes, until golden-brown.
Combine the caster sugar and cinnamon powder in a saucer and toss the hot churros in them once taken out of the oil.
Serve warm with chocolate sauce on the side.
