Badam milkshake is a rich and comforting drink that soothes you when the summer feels a bit too much to handle. Prepared by blending almonds and saffron in chilled milk, this easy homemade drink works flawlessly as a refreshing evening beverage without you having to depend on packaged summer coolers.
2 cups chilled milk 15 almonds 2 tbsp sugar or honey 3 to 4 saffron strands ¼ tsp cardamom powder 5 ice cubes 1 tbsp chopped pistachios for garnish
Soak almonds in warm water for at least half an hour before peeling to get a smoother milkshake texture without grainy almond bits.
Blend the peeled almonds with a little milk until it turns creamy, and you get a smooth consistency.
Now, pour the chilled milk into the blender along with some sugar, saffron strands and cardamom powder to give the drink aroma and classic milkshake taste.
Blend everything again until you see the milkshake feels thick, creamy and a bit frothy.
Drop in some ice cubes and then blend once more for a short span.
Pour the prepared milkshake into tall glasses and then garnish with some chopped pistachios or saffron strands and serve immediately.
