Beetroot is the highlight of the winter season. Apart from salads and snacks, you can also use beetroot to make a rich serving of chukandar halwa. Follow these 5 easy steps to make the North Indian dessert.
300 grams of beetroot 2 tablespoons ghee 1.5 cups milk ½ cup sugar 10-12 cashew nuts ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
Rinse the beetroot and finely grate it.
Heat some ghee, fry some cashew nuts, and set them aside.
Cook the grated beetroot for about five minutes, then add milk and let it simmer.
After the mixture thickens, add sugar and cardamom powder and let it cook till the sugar dissolves.
Once you get a thick halwa, garnish with roasted cashew nuts and serve.
