Dry fruits have been cherished for centuries, celebrated for their remarkable combination of nutrition and flavour. And if you want to spread that nutrition onto your loved ones, this occasion is an opportunity to make homemade dry fruit chikki.

Ingredients

½ cup of almonds ½ cup of cashews ½ cup of pistachios ½ cup of walnuts 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder 1 teaspoon of pistachio powder 2 tablespoons of pumpkin seeds Honey, as needed Jaggery as needed Water as needed Ghee as needed

Step 1

Dry roast the almonds, cashews, pistachios, and walnuts.

Step 2

Once they are golden brown, remove from the pan and set aside.

Step 3

In a heavy-bottomed pan, add jaggery, ghee, and water. Cook on medium heat.

Step 4

Let jaggery become frothy. Once it does, remove the pan from the heat.

Step 5

Add the roasted dry fruit mixture to the jaggery. Keep stirring.

Step 6

On a baking tray or baking sheet, pour in the mixture. Spread it gently.

Step 7

Cover with a butter paper or another baking sheet. Use a rolling pin to flatten it out.

Step 8

Let it cool. Cut into squares or diamond shapes. Store in glass airtight containers or PET jars. Gift a jar of homemade dry fruit chikki to your loved ones!
