With a crackly top, soft edges, and a soft centre, a fudgy chocolate brownie can be prepared quickly using simple ingredients. It is perfect for cravings, celebrations, or cosy evenings at home.
100 g dark chocolate (chopped) ½ cup unsalted butter ¾ cup powdered sugar 2 tbsp brown sugar 2 eggs (room temperature) ½ cup all-purpose flour 2 tbsp cocoa powder ¼ tsp salt 1 tsp vanilla extract
Melt the dark chocolate and butter together using a double boiler method or in a microwave. Stir it gently to get a smooth, glossy, and lump-free texture. Let the mixture cool slightly.
Whisk the powdered sugar and brown sugar into the warm chocolate mixture until it gets well combined.
Add eggs one at a time and whisk them well after each addition. Add in the vanilla extract until the batter looks thick, glossy and smooth.
Add in all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix gently using a spatula until everything is mixed, but do not overmix.
Pour the batter into a lined 8-inch baking pan. Smooth the top evenly and tap the pan to remove the trapped air bubbles, if any.
Bake at 170°C for about 22 to 25 minutes until edges get set, but the centre remains soft. Cool it down completely before slicing to get a perfect fudgy texture.
