Chowmein Samosa is a delicious fusion snack which is a combination of crispy samosa and flavourful chowmein. Here’s how to make it with some simple steps:
For the Filling: 2 cups cooked noodles 1 finely chopped onion 1 cup julienne-cut mixed vegetables 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp chilli sauce 1 tsp vinegar 1 tsp black pepper powder Salt to taste For the Dough: 2 cups all-purpose flour 3 tbsp oil or ghee ½ tsp salt Water as needed Others: Oil for deep frying 1 tbsp cornflour mixed with 2 tbsp water (for sealing)
Mix 2 cups of all-purpose flour, oil, salt and water to form a firm dough, then let it rest for 20 minutes.
Sauté chopped veggies, soy sauce, chilli sauce, and vinegar with the noodles and let them cool.
Roll the dough into an oval shape, cut into halves to form cones and use cornflour slurry to seal.
Stuff chowmein into the cones and seal the edges tightly.
Deep fry samosas until golden and crisp.
Serve with chutney or sauce!
