⁠Chocolate Trifle Recipe: A Smooth, Creamy, Chocolatey Affair

This dessert brings in a modern chocolatey twist to the traditional British trifle recipe. Being a ridiculously easy and make-ahead chocolate dessert, a chocolate trifle features layers of chocolate cake, pudding, and whipped cream. Here’s the recipe to follow.

Ingredients

1 cup frozen whipped cream 1 box chocolate cake mix 2 boxes instant chocolate pudding mix 3 large eggs 3/4 cup water 1/3 cup vegetable oil 4 cups cold milk 2-3 packets of Oreo sandwich biscuits

Step 1

Thaw frozen whipped cream in the refrigerator for 4 hours.

Step 2

Prepare the chocolate cake using the cake mix, eggs, and oil in a baking pan at 180°C for 30 minutes. Cool it completely.

Step 3

Mix instant pudding mix with cold milk and whisk until smooth. Set aside at room temperature.

Step 4

Crush the Oreo cookies until you have 3 cups full of crushed cookies.

Step 5

Cut the cake into small pieces and arrange half of them in a trifle dish. Add half the pudding on top, followed by half the crushed cookies. Repeat the process.

Step 6

Cover the trifle with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Step 7

Before serving, add the whipped cream topping on top to garnish.
