Chicken lollipop is a crowd-pleasing snack at every party. Chicken wings are marinated, coated, and fried until golden. They are perfect for game nights, get-togethers, or weekends.
10 chicken winglets (frenched) 1 tsp salt 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp red chilli sauce 1 tsp soy sauce ½ tsp black pepper powder 1 egg 2 tbsp cornflour 2 tbsp all-purpose flour Oil for deep frying Spring onions (for garnish, optional)
Clean thoroughly and pat-dry chicken winglets. French them properly so that the meat sits at one end, making the classic lollipop shape.
Marinate the chicken with salt, ginger-garlic paste, soy sauce, chilli sauce, and black pepper. Keep it for rest for about 15-20 minutes so that the flavours seep in.
Add egg, cornflour, and all-purpose flour to the marinated chicken. Mix it well to make a thick, sticky coating that covers every piece evenly.
Heat oil on medium flame. Carefully glide the coated chicken lollipops. Fry in batches to keep the oil temperature and crisp texture.
Fry every piece until golden brown and crisp. Make sure the meat is cooked through while the outer coating remains crunchy.
Drain on a tissue paper. Garnish with spring onions and serve hot with mint sauce or chilli dip for maximum flavour.
