Juicy chicken, fluffy rice, crunchy vegetables, and savoury sauces come together in this chicken fried rice recipe that delivers smoky wok-tossed flavour, making every bite taste fresh, comforting, and better than regular takeaway versions.
2 cups cooked rice 200 g diced chicken 1 chopped onion 1 chopped carrot 1/2 shredded cup of cabbage 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tsp vinegar 1 tsp pepper powder 1 tbsp chopped garlic 2 tbsp oil Salt to taste
Heat oil in a wok or large pan and cook chopped garlic for a few seconds until fragrant.
Add chicken pieces and stir-fry on high heat until fully cooked and lightly golden.
Mix in onion, carrot, and cabbage, then cook for 2 to 3 minutes while keeping the vegetables slightly crunchy.
Add cooked rice along with soy sauce, vinegar, pepper, and salt, then toss everything together well.
Stir-fry over high heat for another minute, until the rice smells smoky and is evenly coated with the sauce.
