Paneer chilla is a savoury dish made with besan, grated cheese, and paneer. It’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with protein. Here’s how to make this quick, cheesy chilla at home.
For Chilla 1 cup besan 1 cup water 1/2 cup grated paneer 1/4 cup of grated cheese 2 teaspoons oil 1/2 teaspoon ajwain 1/2 teaspoon red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder For Filling 1/3 cup chopped onions 1/3 cup chopped tomatoes 1 green chilli 1 teaspoon grated ginger 1/2 cup coriander leavesSalt, to taste
In a bowl, mix besan, ajwain, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
Add onions, tomatoes, paneer, cheese, green chilli, ginger, and coriander. Add water for a consistent batter.
Heat a non-stick pan. Pour a spoonful of batter and spread evenly. Cook on medium flame until golden on both sides.
Repeat the process to make more chillas. Serve hot with green chutney or curd on the side.
