Chakli Recipe: Crispy Traditional Maharashtrian Delight For Tea Time Snack

This chakli recipe makes crisp, golden, spiral snacks filled with warm spices and festive flavour. Each homemade batch brings nostalgic crunch and the joy of traditional Indian celebrations.

Ingredients

2 cups rice flour ½ cup besan 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp sesame seeds ½ tsp cumin seeds 2 tbsp butter To taste salt As-needed water For frying oil

Step 1

Combine rice flour, besan, chilli powder, sesame seeds, cumin, and salt in a bowl and mix well.

Step 2

Add 2 tbsp melted butter and rub it into the dough until crumbly.

Step 3

Add water gradually to form a smooth, soft dough that presses easily.

Step 4

Fill the chakli press and pipe spirals onto butter paper or a greased plate.

Step 5

Fry in medium-hot oil until golden and crisp, then drain and cool completely.
