Navratri season is one occasion when sabudana makes its presence felt, as it is a great vrat-friendly alternative in many delicious dishes. If you’re looking for a snack, try this easy sabudana tikki recipe.
1 cup of sabudana or sago pearls 2 medium-sized potatoes 1 tsp red chilli powder 1 tsp cumin powder Salt to taste Oil for shallow frying
Soak sabudana in water for a few hours until they become soft and translucent.
Drain the water and mix the soaked sabudana with boiled and mashed potatoes.
Add spices like red chilli powder, cumin powder, and salt to the mixture and mix well. Divide the mixture into small portions.
Shape them into tikkis. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the tikkis until they turn golden brown on both sides.
Serve hot with chutney or yoghurt. If you have any leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
