Caprese salad is a light Italian dish that highlights the beauty of simplicity. Made with ripe tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil, it’s elegant, refreshing, and the perfect no-cook starter for any meal.
2 ripe tomatoes (sliced) 100 g mozzarella cheese (sliced) Fresh basil leaves 1 tbsp olive oil Salt and black pepper to taste Balsamic glaze (optional)
Arrange alternating slices of tomato and mozzarella on a plate.
Place basil leaves between each layer for a burst of aroma.
Drizzle olive oil and balsamic glaze evenly over the top.
Season with salt and black pepper before serving.
