Brazilian lemonade, known as limonada suíça, is made by briefly blending whole limes with water and sweetened condensed milk to create a frothy citrus drink. Unlike traditional lemonade, it uses the peel for a short pulse to extract essential oils that intensify flavour. Fresh limes provide vitamin C and antioxidants that support immune health and skin function. When strained immediately, the drink remains smooth, bright and refreshing without bitterness.
4 fresh limes, washed and quartered 3 cups cold water ¾ cup ice 3–4 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
Pulse quartered limes with one cup of water for a few seconds to release citrus oils without over-blending the peel.
Add remaining water, ice and condensed milk and blend briefly until frothy.
Strain immediately through a fine sieve to remove pulp and prevent bitterness.
Serve over ice and consume fresh to retain maximum flavour and nutrients.
