Boba Tea Recipe: Make Cafe-Style Korean Bubble Tea At Home

Boba tea, also known as bubble tea, is a popular Taiwanese drink made with chewy tapioca pearls, brewed tea, milk, and sweetener. It’s a refreshing blend of creamy, sweet, and slightly chewy textures, perfect for enjoying cold on a hot day.

Ingredients

½ cup tapioca pearls (boba) 4 cups of water for cooking boba 2 tbsp brown sugar 2 black tea bags 1 cup of water for tea ½ cup milk 1-2 tbsp sugar Ice cubes as required

Step 1

Boil water, add tapioca pearls, and cook for 15-20 minutes until soft, then drain and rinse.

Step 2

In a pan, mix brown sugar with the cooked boba and simmer for 2-3 minutes and set aside.

Step 3

Steep 2 black tea bags in 1 cup hot water for 5 minutes and let it cool slightly.

Step 4

In a glass, add the boba with syrup, ice cubes, brewed tea, and a cup of milk and stir well.

Step 5

Serve with a wide straw and enjoy!
