Among many Indian sweets, besan ka halwa is the ultimate treat you can prepare at home. Whether you have unannounced guests or crave sugar, this halwa recipe is all you need to refer to.
1.5 cups milk ½ cup ghee ⅓ cup sugar 1 cup besan ½ tsp cardamom powder ⅓ cup crushed nuts
Take a heavy bottom pan and boil milk in it.
In another pan, add ghee and roast besan in it.
Once besan releases ghee, add half of the boiled milk to it.
Keep stirring to prevent lumps. If the concoction is smooth, add the rest of the milk.
Add sugar and keep up with the stirring until sugar dissolves and the mixture thickens.
Switch off the flame, add cardamom powder and crushed nuts for garnish, and serve the halwa hot or cold.
