Bengali Kheer Kodam Recipe For A Coconut-Covered Festive Sweet

Soft paneer sweets stuffed with rich khoya and coated in coconut, Kheer Kodam tastes like a mini surprise in every bite. The outer layer stays melt-in-the-mouth, while the centre brings a creamy sweetness that makes these Bengali treats impossible to stop eating.

Ingredients

2 cups milk powder ½ cup condensed milk ¼ cup milk 1 tbsp ghee ½ cup grated khoya 2 tbsp powdered sugar ½ tsp cardamom powder ¼ cup desiccated coconut

Step 1

Heat ghee in a pan and cook milk powder, condensed milk, and milk until a soft dough forms.

Step 2

Mix khoya, powdered sugar, and cardamom powder in a bowl for the filling.

Step 3

Flatten small portions of dough, stuff with the khoya mixture, and roll into balls

Step 4

Coat each ball evenly with desiccated coconut while still warm.

Step 5

Chill the Kheer Kodam for 20 minutes before serving.
