Beetroot roti is a nutritious flatbread, perfect for a wholesome meal. The natural sweetness of beetroots and their rich nutrients make this roti a healthy and delicious option.
2 cups whole wheat flour 1 cup grated beetroot 1 finely chopped green chilli ½ tsp cumin seeds Salt to taste 1 tsp oil/ghee For cooking - oil or ghee Water as needed
Take a mixing bowl, mix wheat flour, grated beetroot, green chilli, cumin seeds, salt, oil, knead with water into a soft dough and set aside for 15 minutes.
Divide the dough into small portions, roll each into a ball, and flatten into medium-thick circles using a rolling pin.
Heat a skillet, cook roti for 30 seconds, flip and cook until golden spots appear.
Brush it with ghee/oil, flip again and cook until evenly done.
Enjoy hot with yoghurt, pickles or your favourite chutney.
