Ingredients

2 beets 2 tsp red chilli powder 5-6 carrots 2 tbsp yellow mustard seeds 1 tsp black salt ½ tsp table salt 8 cups of water 2 slit green chillies

Step 1

Peel the beetroots and carrots. Cut them into sticks.

Step 2

Slit the green chillies and add them to water.

Step 3

Grind mustard seeds in a mortar and pestle, and add them to water.

Step 4

Sprinkle black and table salt before adding beetroots and carrots.

Step 5

Let the beverage ferment for 2-3 days in the indirect sun.

Step 6

Strain the ingredients and enjoy the kanji in the morning.
