Beetroot cutlets are a healthy snack made from grated beets, potatoes, and spices. Lightly crisped on the outside, they offer a soft, delicious bite packed with nutrients. Perfect as a starter or evening snack they can be a great starter to any meal.
2 beetroots 1 potato 1 carrot 1 onion 2 green chillies 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder 1/2 tsp garam masala 1/2 tsp red chilli powder 1/4 tsp black pepper powder 1/4 cup breadcrumbs 2 tbsp cornflour Fresh coriander leaves Oil Salt
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan, add the chopped onions and green chillles. Add the grated beetroot and carrot, and sauté for 5-7 minutes.
Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté. Now, mix in cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Cook for 2 minutes and let the mixture cool.
In a large bowl, combine the cooled beetroot-carrot mixture with the mashed potatoes. Add chopped coriander leaves, breadcrumbs, and cornflour.
Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into round or oval patties.
Coat each patty lightly with breadcrumbs and shallow fry.
