Beetroot chilla is a healthy and nutritious choice for breakfast and snacks. Boasting a pink hue, it is considered good for your heart health and can help to regulate blood sugar levels. Try this recipe before we bid a final adieu to winter produce.
1 cup besan 2 medium beetroots Water as needed Salt to taste A pinch of hing ¼ tsp pepper ½ cup oat flour Oil as needed ¼ tsp red chilli powder
In a bowl, sift besan and oats flour. Add grated beetroot to the mixture.
Sprinkle salt, red chilli powder, hing, and pepper. Add water to adjust the consistency.
Keep the batter aside for 15 minutes. Adjust its consistency before cooking.
Take a ladle of this batter and spread it evenly on a hot griddle.
Add oil on the surface of the chilla and around its edges.
Once the base is cooked, serve the chilla with chutney.
