Beet rotis bring a vibrant pink hue to the plate while adding natural sweetness and earthy flavour. The beet puree blends smoothly into the dough, giving the rotis softness and a slight richness. They make everyday meals feel more colourful and nutritious without changing the familiar taste of classic rotis. These pair well with dals, sabzis or simple yoghurt.

Ingredients

2 cups whole wheat flour ½ cup beetroot puree ½ tsp salt 1 tsp oil Warm water as needed

Step 1

Mix flour, salt and oil, then add beetroot puree to form a soft dough.

Step 2

Add a little warm water only if required while kneading.

Step 3

Rest the dough for 10–15 minutes, then roll out rotis of medium thickness.

Step 4

Cook on a hot tawa until both sides develop golden spots.
