South India’s most popular munchies, banana chips, are now enjoyed worldwide. But instead of buying it from a store with added preservatives, here’s how you can make a batch in your kitchen.
4-5 raw bananas 2 litres of water 2 tablespoons salt 1 teaspoon turmeric powder (optional) Oil for deep frying
Pick raw bananas that are firm and green. Chop them into very thin slices.
Mix water, salt, and haldi. Immerse the banana slices in the water for at least 30 minutes.
Drain the slices and spread them on paper towels to get rid of moisture.
Heat some oil and deep fry the banana slices till crispy.
Season the fried chips with salt and store them in an air-tight container.
