White bread is a quintessential part of pantries across the world. It is soft in the middle and has a brown crust. But instead of getting it from the store, here is how you can bake it at home and rest assured of its quality.
1 cup lukewarm water 3 cups maida 1 tbsp sugar 1 tsp instant yeast 1 tsp salt 2 tbsp milk 1 tbsp oil
Add yeast to lukewarm water and sugar solution. It will activate it. Let it stay for 15 minutes.
Add it to the flour and knead the dough. Pour some oil while kneading and keep it aside for 45 minutes at least.
Grease a pan with oil and shape the dough. Add it to the pan and cover it for another 20 minutes.
Brush the top layer with oil and carve a design with a sharp blade.
Bake the bread in a preheated oven for 30-35 minutes at 190°C.
Once it rises and is cooked to perfection, take it out, let it cool off, slice it, and enjoy.
