This banana bread recipe transforms ripe bananas into a moist, warm, bakery-style loaf bursting with comforting flavours. Every slice is soft, aromatic, and perfect for lazy mornings, sweet cravings, or a wholesome, quick homemade treat.
1 cup mashed ripe bananas 1 cup all-purpose flour ½ cup sugar ¼ cup oil or melted butter 1 egg ½ tsp baking soda ½ tsp baking powder 1 pinch cinnamon (optional)
Whisk mashed bananas, sugar, and oil together until the mixture becomes smooth, creamy, and slightly frothy.
Add the egg and mix well so the batter becomes light and airy, helping the bread rise beautifully.
Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon, then fold gently into the wet mixture without over-mixing.
Pour the batter into a greased loaf tin, spreading evenly so it bakes uniformly with a soft centre.
Bake at 180°C for 35-40 minutes until golden, then cool on a rack before slicing for perfect texture.
