Badam halwa is a traditional Indian sweet made with ground almonds, ghee, sugar, and saffron. It has a soft texture, nutty flavour, and is often served during festivals or special occasions.
1 cup almonds (soaked and peeled) ½ cup ghee 1 cup sugar 1 cup milk ¼ tsp saffron strands soaked in warm milk ½ tsp cardamom powder
Grind soaked almonds into a coarse paste using milk.
Heat ghee in a heavy pan, add the almond paste, and stir continuously on low flame.
Add sugar, remaining milk, and saffron milk. Keep stirring until it thickens.
Cook until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan. Add cardamom powder and serve warm.
