Papaya salad, or thai som tam, is a refreshing mix of shredded raw papaya, tangy lime, and spicy dressing. Light, crunchy, and zesty, it’s a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and spice - ideal for summer days.
2 cups grated raw papaya 1 grated carrot 6-8 halved cherry tomatoes 3-4 lightly blanched and chopped beans 2 tbsp crushed roasted peanuts Fresh coriander for garnish For dressing: 1 tbsp lime juice 1 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp brown sugar 1 crushed garlic clove 1 finely chopped fresh red chilli
Grate 2 cups of raw papaya and 1 carrot.
In a bowl, mix lime juice, soy sauce, sugar, garlic, and chopped chilli.
Add papaya, carrot, beans, and cherry tomatoes.
Toss everything well in the dressing.
Garnish with crushed peanuts and coriander; serve chilled.
