Avocado toast gets a vibrant Indian street-food upgrade for festive hosting. Ripe mashed avocado is spiked with lime juice, green chillies, and chaat masala, then spread generously over thick-cut toasted sourdough. Finished with tangy tamarind chutney, crunchy pomegranate arils, and fine nylon sev, this chatpata fusion toast bridges contemporary brunch style with nostalgic chatpata flavours.
2 thick slices sourdough or artisanal bread 1 ripe avocado 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder 1 green chilli, finely minced Salt and black salt to taste 1 tablespoon sweet tamarind chutney 2 tablespoons fresh pomegranate arils 2 tablespoons nylon sev and chopped coriander for garnish
Toast the bread slices until thick, golden, and extra crisp so they can easily support the generous toppings.
Mash the ripe avocado in a bowl with lime juice, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, minced green chilli, salt, and black salt until coarse yet creamy.
Spread the chatpata avocado mix generously over the toasted bread slices, smoothing the top with the back of a spoon.
Drizzle lightly with sweet tamarind chutney, sprinkle with fresh pomegranate arils, nylon sev, and chopped coriander, then serve immediately for a crisp festive brunch.
