Ingredients

1 cup coriander seeds 1/2 cup dried red chilies   1/4 cup cumin seeds 1 tablespoon peppercorns 1 tablespoon fenugreek seeds 1 tablespoon mustard seeds 1 tablespoon turmeric powder 10-12 curry leaves (optional) 

Step 1

Dry roast coriander seeds, dried red chillies, cumin seeds, peppercorns, fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds separately in a pan until they turn aromatic. Ensure they don’t burn.

Step 2

Let the roasted spices cool down completely. Once cooled, transfer them in a grinder along with turmeric powder and curry leaves

Step 3

Grind the mixture into a fine powder. You may need to grind in batches for even consistency. 

Step 4

Sieve the ground powder to remove any coarse particles and achieve a smooth texture.

Step 5

Let the Rasam powder cool completely before storing it in an airtight container.
