Authentic Maharashtrian Thalipeeth Made With Multigrains

Hearty multigrains meet onions, green chillies, and cumin in this crisp yet soft flatbread. Aromatic, filling, and deeply satisfying, every bite feels rustic, warm, and crave-worthy.

Ingredients

1 cup thalipeeth flour mix (Jowar, Bajra, Rice, Wheat) 1 small finely chopped onion 1 finely chopped green chilli 2 tbsp chopped coriander ½ tsp cumin seeds Salt to taste Water as needed 2 tsp oil

Step 1

Combine thalipeeth flour, onion, green chilli, coriander, cumin seeds, and salt in a bowl; mix well.

Step 2

Gradually add water to make a soft, smooth, pliable dough.

Step 3

Take a portion, flatten gently into a round disc with wet hands or a rolling pin.

Step 4

Heat tawa, cook with 1-2 tsp oil until golden and crisp on both sides.

Step 5

Serve hot with butter, yoghurt, or green chutney.
