Kashmiri kahwa is a traditional green tea preparation infused with whole spices, saffron, and nuts. It is brewed gently to keep the tea light, aromatic, and clear, and is usually served hot in small cups after meals or during cold weather.
2 cups water 1 tsp green tea leaves 2–3 saffron strands 1 small cinnamon stick 2 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed 1 tbsp almonds, finely sliced Sugar or honey to taste
Bring water to a gentle boil with cinnamon, cardamom, and saffron.
Add green tea leaves and simmer for 30–40 seconds.
Switch off heat and let the tea steep for 2 minutes.
Strain into cups and sweeten lightly if needed.
Garnish with almonds and serve hot.
