Ashtami 2026: Quick Suji Halwa Recipe For Kanjak Pujan

Suji halwa served with a spicy serving of kale chane and fluffy pooris is a staple for Ashtami. If you’re preparing a thali for kanjak pujan, follow these four steps to quickly make suji halwa without lumps.

Ingredients

1 cup suji 1/4 cup ghee 1 cup milk 1/2 cup sugar 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder A pinch of saffron strands Chopped nuts

Step 1

Heat some ghee and stir in suji. Roast till golden brown.

Step 2

Gradually add milk and keep stirring till the mixture is thick and consistent.

Step 3

Add sugar and let the halwa cook till it dissolves.

Step 4

Garnish with chopped nuts and saffron and serve warm.
