Transform your daily caffeine routine into a luxurious cafe-style ritual with this aromatic lavender iced coffee. Infusing a quick homemade simple syrup with dried culinary lavender buds introduces a delicate floral note that pairs effortlessly with the bold bitterness of fresh espresso. Topped with cold milk and poured over ice, this smooth, layered beverage offers a subtly sweet and fragrant lift that feels both soothing and energising on damp, chilly mornings.
2 shots espresso or strong brewed coffee 1 cup cold milk of choice 1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup water Ice cubes
Combine the dried lavender, sugar, and water in a small saucepan over medium heat to make the floral syrup.
Simmer the mixture for five minutes until the sugar dissolves completely, then strain out the lavender buds and let the syrup cool.
Fill a tall glass to the top with fresh ice cubes and pour in the cold milk along with one tablespoon of the prepared lavender syrup.
Pour the espresso shots gently over the milk to create a layered effect and stir well right before drinking.
