Ingredients

200 g penne pasta 2 tbsp olive oil 4 cloves garlic finely chopped 1 tsp red chilli flakes 2 cups tomato purée Salt to taste Black pepper to taste Fresh basil for garnish

Step 1

Boil the pasta in salted water until it is tender but still firm to the bite. Then, drain it and set it aside.

Step 2

Put olive oil in a pan and let the garlic soften while it smells good.

Step 3

Add red chilli flakes and stir for a short time to let the heat build up without burning.

Step 4

Add the tomato puree, season to taste, and let the sauce simmer on low heat until it thickens.

Step 5

Add the cooked pasta, mix well, and top with fresh basil before serving.
