Papaya juice is a light, naturally sweet drink that goes well as a wholesome summer morning breakfast. It is easy on the stomach, helps in digestion, and gives a refreshing start to the day without depending on heavy or sugary beverages.
1 cup ripe papaya (peeled, cubed) ½ cup chilled water or coconut water 1 tsp lemon juice 1 tsp honey (optional) 2–3 mint leaves A pinch of black salt
Pick a ripe papaya that should feel a bit soft and have a sweet fragrance. Peel, remove the seeds, and cut into small cubes.
Now, add papaya cubes into the blender jar with some chilled water or coconut water.
Blend until it turns smooth, creamy and lump-free. You do not need to add any milk, as it will have a naturally smooth consistency.
Now, add lemon juice, a pinch of black salt, and honey if required. This will balance the sweetness of the papaya with a slight tang.
Blend it again shortly so that the flavours mix evenly. Taste and adjust consistency as required by adding a little more water if you like a thinner drink.
Pour the drink into a glass, garnish with some fresh mint leaves, and serve chilled.
