Annavaram Prasadam: South Indian Rava Halwa Recipe

Annavaram prasadam is a sacred rava halwa recipe made for Annavaram Swamy. It is considered a divine dish in South India and is fed to devotees after offering it to the Lord. Prepare it on auspicious days and enjoy.

Ingredients

1 cup jaggery 1 cup red semolina 4-5 cardamoms 1 cup sugar 1 nutmeg 3 cups of water ¼ tsp alum A pinch of saffron ⅓ cups of ghee

Step 1

Use a mortar and pestle to pound nutmeg, alum, and saffron.

Step 2

Dry roast rava on a low flame until it is evenly coloured.

Step 3

Boil water in a pan and add rava to it.

Step 4

Cook until it softens, and add crushed ingredients and jaggery.

Step 5

Add ghee, and let the ingredients cook.

Step 6

After turning off the flame, garnish with cardamom and offer to Gods and Goddesses.
