Andhra-style chicken curry is known for a burst of flavours and heat. It requires many ingredients for preparation, but the process is not tricky. Tap to see how you can make it at home.
For Marination 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste ½ kg chicken 1 tbsp lemon juice ¾ tbsp red chilli powder ⅛ tsp turmeric powder ⅓ tsp salt For Fine Paste 2 tbsp raw coconut 3 tbsp poppy seeds
Whole Spices 2 cloves, cardamoms 1 bay leaf 1-inch cinnamon ½ tsp shahi jeera For Curry 1.5 cups onion 4 tbsp oil ¼ tbsp chilli powder 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste 2 slit green chillies ¾ cup hot water 1 tomato 2 tbsp mint leaves
Wash the chicken and marinate it for at least 30-40 minutes.
Prepare a paste for poppy seeds and coconut. You can also use cashews.
Heat oil and saute whole spices, onions, curry leaves, green chillies, and salt.
Add ginger garlic paste to the pan and sauté. After 5 minutes, fold in the marinated chicken.
Pour water and let the ingredients simmer along with powdered spices.
Garnish the curry with mint leaves and coriander leaves before serving.
