Rajma tikki is a wonderful, spicy Indian snack prepared with kidney beans and spices that are pan-fried to crispy perfection.

Ingredients

1 cup rajma or kidney beans ½ cup bread crumbs 1 medium-sized onion 2 green chillies A handful of coriander leaves 1 tsp garam masala Salt to taste Oil, for shallow frying

Step 1

Soak the rajma in water overnight. Cook the rajma in a pressure cooker until soft.

Step 2

Allow rajma to cool after cooking. Mash the rajma till smooth.

Step 3

Mix in the bread crumbs, chopped onion, green chilli, coriander leaves, garam masala, and salt to the mashed rajma.

Step 4

Mix thoroughly. Shape the ingredients into tiny, flat tikkis.

Step 5

Heat the oil in a pan and shallow-fry the tikkis until golden brown on both sides. Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
